Everyone just left this morning, and I miss them already!!! I had so much fun! It was so nice of them to make the long trip out here to see me. I love you guys!

So, Sunday was the real reason for the road trip...New Kids On The Block:) We went shopping downtown for a couple hours Sunday afternoon. Everyone got a few good deals and then we got some new sunglasses to wear to the concert.

We met Regina and Natasha in Noblesville at Houlihans for dinner and a pre-concert drink. The food was good. Service? Not so much. Our waiter, Chad, even apologized for how crappy the service was. Oh, well.

When we got to the concert, the America's Best Dance Crew was just finishing up. We got some good seats on the lawn. Then Jesse McCartney did his thing. I got lots of good people watching in and some good videos and pics. Check this video out. (watch the guy in the white shirt)

These were some of my favorite outfits! I know you can't stop looking at the girl in the pink shirt, but don't miss the big red fanny pack and stone washed shorts!

I am going to admit, I am not the biggest NKOTB fan. Don't get me wrong, I used to be back in elementary school. I just don't remember much of their songs, except Step By Step. That was my favorite! I clearly was not as big of a fan as some people:) I'm sorry, Courtney, but this is too cute not to post!

We had such a blast! It was a very entertaining and fun concert. Lots of dancing and old songs to sing to. If there is a next time, I am going to have to get more creative with my outfit! Maybe leg warmers?

Brew Haha

Today we had breakfast and then went to the pool for some sun. At 3 Brew Haha started downtown on Mass Ave. There was a huge line to get in, but it was worth the wait. It was $25 to get in and then once you were in there, all the beer you can drink. It was a blast!
This is Jill, very excited to be at Brew Haha!

After Brew Haha we went for dinner at 45 Degrees. I tried some sushi for the first time and it wasn't that bad! I got Kari a sex on the avenue martini so she was able to catch up a little to our drunkness! After dinner we went to the Rathskellar to hang out on the patio. It was a perfect night to hang on the patio!

some creepy guy that was straddling me at the picnic table. A little too close for comfort.

A group shot!

After we had a beer, Jill's cheeks started watering, so we had our rides come and get us. It is so fun to have them here!!!

Bike Night

Tuesday night I went to Natasha's house in Broad Ripple and met up with her and her sister, Lydia. We went for a 20.8 mile ride. We stopped half way and had some dinner at Paradise. I only had a couple mishaps -- my chain falling off and me falling over while on my bike. My chain falling off was no big deal. I got it back on all by myself. But right after a did, a nice biker rode by and asked if I needed help. So in the event that I couldn't have, at least there are people willing to help!

Now to the falling over. I was nervous to clip both of my shoes in at first because I wasn't very sure that I could get out of them in time if I needed to, so I was just clipping in one foot. We came to a stop on the trail at a cross road, (I should also mention here that it was the busiest intersection as far as people go. There were a lot of restaurants with outdoor patios. Embarrassing!!!!) I had my left foot unclipped and my right clipped. I stopped, put my left toe on the ground. Here is where it all went wrong. I should have put my whole foot down, but instead just did my toe. I lost my balance and started leaning to the right. But since my foot was clipped in, I just went down.

Lydia was in front and to the right side of me, so I grabbed her back tire on my way down, which definitely helped my fall! I felt bad, though, I thought I was taking her down with me! But lucky for me she was there and it made my super embarrassing fall not very painful at all. It was in slow motion. Embarrassing, but lesson learned -- unclip BOTH shoes when coming to a stop! It was really fun riding on the Monon. Hopefully next time I won't have any issues!! :)

Another year down. It's time to give 27 a try

So even though my actual birthday is June 22, we celebrated on Sunday since T.J. has to work all day and all night on Monday. My love for his job can be discussed on another day/post:) We had a delicious lunch at my favorite place, El J's. It was delicious!! We went for a Sunday drive, went on a walk, watched Blart: Mall Cop, grilled out for dinner, then had cupcakes. These aren't just any cupcakes, they are from Cold Stone Creamery. They had ice cream inside and were, of course, de-lish!
This one was my favorite! It had cake batter ice cream in it.

Are you drooling yet? (I am just looking at the picture)

Opening my card from my wonderful husband. He got me a massage and a pedicure! Also included in my birthday gift category is my new road bike I bought for myself along with shoes, helmet, and pedals. (I will post some pics tomorrow of the beauty once I get it back from the shop!)

My new slippers from Mom. I have come to have a real fondness for slippers. I have two pairs that I wear now that I got for Christmas that are about shot, so these came just in time! Mom also got me a new scrapbook and cute key chain.

Thanks, everyone, for all the cards and well-wishes!
I plan on making the next year a year to remember:)

Happy Father's Day!

First of all, I want to say Happy Father's Day to all the fellas out there. I especially want to wish my dad and T.J.'s dad a great day! I wish we were there to celebrate with you! Herky and Baxter each got their dad a card and a gift.
T.J. reading his cards.

Oh, boy! A harmonica! This is from Baxter. He cries when T.J. plays the blues on it:)

The book Marley and Me is from Herky. We saw the movie but heard the book was way better.

Marathon Training, Day 1

Today marks the first day of marathon training for me & Keriann. We are doing a program by Hal Higdon for beginners. The run for today was only 1.5 miles. Considering the fact that I haven't ran at all lately, I am proud to say I ran it without stopping and in a decent time for me. It was super hot and muggy here. There are storms in the forecast for this week. I hope the weather holds out. I really don't want to have to run on the treadmill week one!

Italian Fest

So as most of you know, Mom as moved in with T.J. & I. She came back with us on Sunday. Mom has been busy trying to find a job. We have been trying to get back into the swing of things. So far so good; right, MOM?
Friday Mom & I went downtown and met Natasha, Lydia, and their dad, Steve, in Indy for Italian Fest. There was a ton of good food, drinks, and music. (Keriann, you would have LOVED all the pasta!)
This is a picture of us with our Italian favorites. Mom has an Italian Ice and I am enjoying my pizza cone.

Before we left, we bought cigars for our husbands and thought we needed to take pictures with them:)

Final Night, phew what a trip!

Our last night in Vegas Ben, T.J. & I went to "O" at the Bellagio. It was awesome! After that we met up with everyone and said goodbye. Then T.J. & I got some ice cream at Giradelli and gambled a little. No big winning or loosing. We pretty much broke even and went to bed.

This is the conservatory at the Bellagio.
